M05 Tactical® TST Cold Weather Trousers, Frost Camo

M05 Tactical® TST Freeze Pants in Frost Camouflage. The TST Freeze Pants, made from lightweight carbon fiber reinforced ripstop fabric, can be worn over regular trousers or as standalone pants over base layers. Equipped with long zippers on the sides, these pants allow for hassle-free dressing without having to take off your boots.
The front waistband features two sturdy denim buttons and a zip closure, along with adjustable velcro straps on the sides. The zippers are Opti zippers, the same used in joint Nordic combat uniforms. The waistband is made from cotton-polyester fabric, supported by adjustable elastic bands at the back. A strong plastic D-ring is located under the belt loop on the right side, with a designated spot on the left for attaching additional gear. Thanks to its design, the waistband comfortably flexes around the body, preventing any constriction in various positions. The leg openings feature elastic cuffs and adjustable velcro straps. The zippered side pockets are lined with a soft fleece material.

The exceptional thermal insulation of these trousers is due to the air layer trapped between two windproof fabrics, utilizing hollow fiber Climashield Apex thermal insulation. The diagonal structure of the insulation eliminates the need for stitching to the lining, preventing cold spots from needle holes. The lining is made of calendared 100% polyamide fabric, as used in down jackets. During calendaring, the fabric is pressed with heat and pressure to make it airtight, reducing air permeability and preventing warmth from escaping the body.

The Climashield Apex insulation is lofty, perfectly filling the space between the jacket and the body, ensuring no voids remain for heat loss. The outer fabric consists of 98% polyamide and 2% carbon fiber, which not only strengthens the material but also dissipates static electricity due to its conductivity. Reinforcement areas made of 500 denier Cordura fabric are located at the back, knees, and cuffs, enhancing durability in high wear areas. These fabrics meet NIR specifications.
