M05 Tactical® TST Cold Weather Jacket, Cold Camouflage. The TST cold weather jacket is crafted from lightweight, carbon fiber-reinforced ripstop fabric, designed to perform in extreme cold conditions. Its superior thermal insulation stems from an air layer trapped between two wind-resistant fabrics, utilizing hollow-fiber Climashield Apex thermal insulation. The unique diagonal fiber structure eliminates the need for stitching it to the lining, thus preventing cold spots that form from needle holes. The lining fabric is a calendared 100% polyamide material used in down jackets. During calendaring, the fabric is pressed tightly between cylinders using heat and pressure, reducing breathability, so body heat doesn't escape.

This jacket features generously sized zippered pockets that are oriented in a longitudinal direction, protected by a wind flap to keep out drafts. They have soft fleece-lined pockets for added comfort. Additionally, there is a zippered inner pocket for secure storage. Underarm ventilation zippers allow for heat release, as up to 70% of heat can escape through these areas, making it vital to double insulate the hood. The hood features versatile adjustments with a Velcro cinching system at the back to pull it away from your line of sight. Elastic drawstrings at both the front seam and rear allow you to customize the tightness of the hood around your face. Because the hood is generously sized, it accommodates helmets and/or hearing protection. The hood design is exceptional, also equipped with a snap closure at the front to shield your cheeks and chin. Moreover, the hood and collar are designed separately, meaning the collar can be worn up without the hood obstructing it. Quite practical, right? The jacket closes with a high-quality Opti zipper, protected by a snap closure wind flap, and the zipper pull has a fabric cover on the upper section to prevent chafing against your chin. The hem of the jacket includes an elastic drawstring for a customized fit. The elbows are reinforced with Cordura material, and the sleeve cuffs feature Velcro adjustable straps.

On the front of the jacket, you'll find Velcro patches for name tags and ranks. Additionally, each sleeve has a 10 x 12 cm Velcro patch area suitable for displaying symbols like the Finnish flag.

The Climashield Apex insulation is lofty, ensuring it fills the space between the jacket and body completely, leaving no cold air pockets uninsulated. The outer shell is composed of 98% polyamide and 2% carbon fiber. The carbon fiber reinforces the fabric and, due to its electro-conductivity, helps dissipate static electricity. There are reinforcements made from 500 denier Cordura fabric on the rear, knees, and cuffs, enhancing durability in essential wear areas. The fabrics meet NIR specifications. The zippers are Opti brand, the same as those used in joint Nordic combat gear.
