Swiss Wool Gloves, Gray, Surplus. These Swiss wool gloves in gray are made from 100% fine, high-quality wool. They are crafted using a unique boiling technique common in alpine regions, where the finished gloves are briefly immersed in boiling water. This process compresses (also known as felting) and fluffs the surface, resulting in a warmer glove. Initially, these gloves are oversized, as the aforementioned boiling shrinks the wool during the felting process.
The hue of the gloves varies between gray and bluish-gray, perfect for outdoor camouflage. These gloves serve as a base layer, designed to be worn underneath separate, waterproof, and spacious outer mittens or gloves while out in the field.
Condition: New surplus, with potential color variations and wear from long-term storage. These gloves can be hand washed below 30 degrees Celsius and should be stretched to dry flat after washing.
