Technical Specifications

The Frontier Pro includes the new replaceable GRN Line filter, which removes bacteria more effectively and with a higher flow rate than the previous cyst-removing version. Now you can swap out filters as needed and carry backup filters that weigh less than 28 grams each.

The GRN Line filtering is based on a unique two-stage electropositive adsorption technology. A replaceable pre-filter plate removes larger particles, while the charged micro-glass fibers "pull" even the smallest bacteria out of the water stream while still maintaining high flow rates and low pressure loss. GRN Line filters have been tested in independent laboratories and proven to remove protozoan cysts and bacteria according to ANSI/NSF - 53 and U.S. EPA standards – without using disinfecting chemicals like chlorine, bromine, or iodine.

Additionally, the filter material is enhanced with submicron charcoal particles that improve its ability to absorb chlorine and harmful chemicals, as well as eliminate bad tastes and odors in accordance with ANSI/NSF - 42 standards. WaterBasics GRN Line filters provide superior biological protection, high flow rates, and long service life in a compact, lightweight, and easy-to-use cartridge.

The Frontier Pro filter system features a patented Cap Strap™ protective cap that keeps the cap in place and prevents the patented Bite Me™ valve from contamination. The filter housings are made from FDA-approved impact-resistant ABS plastic, ensuring long-lasting use even in demanding conditions. The UQC (Universal Quick Connect) connector allows attachment to standard quick-connect fittings, the included suction hose, all ¾" inner diameter hoses (like hydration systems), and 28 mm threaded bottles, such as Platypus® bottles and other lightweight flexible bottles.
