The pocket opens to a limited 90 degrees, so you can read your map hands-free. This bag includes removable straps and with a little DIY adjustment, it can attach to your backpack's shoulder straps, allowing you to leave the straps off. Inside, there is a good amount of small pockets and attachments for all your accessories. It features two separate zippered compartments; one with many MOLLE elastic loops and a detachable map pocket, the other with a couple of mesh pockets, a zippered pocket, and a row of elastic loops.
