British Modular Sleeping Bag

British Army Modular "Defence 4" Used 3-Season Sleeping Bag. This bag is part of the British Army's modular sleeping bag system and is largely a copy of the Carinthian Defence 4 sleeping bag. It has undergone minor modifications to also serve as the Finnish Army's M05 sleeping bag. An extremely durable and reliable 3-season sleeping bag. It comes in a tactical green color and includes two mesh pockets for personal items. The exterior and interior of the bag are made from resilient synthetic fibers, featuring modern hollow fiber insulation. The bag closes at the front with a robust zipper, protected by a storm flap. While it's challenging to provide an exact thermal rating, the comfort value of the bag when new would be around -10 degrees Celsius. A cotton liner bag (sleeping bag liner) is included, ensuring this bag can handle winter conditions with ease. An excellent sleeping bag suitable for all types of camping and outdoor adventures. We have packed these into Carinthian compression bags, so you don’t need to order that separately.

Condition: Used in good condition surplus, all zippers functional and intact, naturally, there may be slight color variation and wear. The bags do have a laundry tag, but most either lack markings for wash cycles or they have worn off, so we cannot determine the number of washes.

Care: Machine washable at 40 degrees if absolutely necessary. However, it's best to hang and air out the sleeping bag using the straps located at the bottom, thus avoiding the need for washing. Frequent washing will significantly reduce the thermal value of the bag.
