Bushmen Prusik PRO attachment loop. A shockcord loop with a hook at the end, designed for securing a tarp but versatile for various applications. The primary purpose of the shockcord is to prevent the tarp from collapsing if someone stumbles over the ties or if the wind catches it. The Prusik Pro can also attach gear to a backpack or bike frame. Sold in pairs.
What is a Prusik? A Prusik is a knot used to attach a thinner rope to a stronger one so that the knot can slide when necessary but tightens and holds in place under load. The term Prusik also refers to the loop used for tying said knot, just like this product's name. The knot is quick and easy to tie, with many excellent instructional videos available on YouTube.
