Bushmen 4×3 m Ultralight Tarp. Made from reinforced 15D microripstop silnylon. Weighs only approx. 680 g with a remarkable area of 12 m2.

Water resistance rated at 3500 mm. A silicone coating has been applied to the fabric surface, making it waterproof.

Attachment points number 19, offering countless setup options. Central attachment points are reinforced, and the center seam is taped for waterproofing.

Attachment cords, 6 pieces – featuring adjustment buckles. Tightening is effortless from the end of the attachment point. The adjustment buckles and cords are not permanently attached to the tarp, allowing for replacement if necessary.

Stuff sack – with a carrying handle, allowing it to be attached to a backpack. The stuff sack is very compact, so it might be tricky to repack in a hurry. The tarp fits back into the stuff sack when folded and rolled tightly, but it won't fit if stuffed.

Attachment cords with slide buckles
Very important - the set includes six attachment cords with slide buckles that serve as safety gear for the tarp. These slide buckle cords make attaching the tarp effortless. Hook one end to the tarp loop and the other end to a stake or tree. Tightening is done via the slide buckle at the tarp's end.
The Bushmen tarp loops and slide buckle hooks are compatible. Once the attachment cords are tightened by pulling the slide buckle through, they lock into place. Note: do not overtighten.

These slide buckle attachment cords act as fuses. They are crucial for ultralight tarp safety and careful handling. If the tarp experiences stress or forces greater than the slide buckle can hold, the cord will slip from the buckle. This serves as a warning and is an intended feature to protect the tarp from damage. The slide buckle hooks combined with the attachment cord function as protective fuses for the tarp. Overtightening, tripping over the tarp cords, or wind gusts are not covered by material or manufacturing defects.

The ends of the attachment cords feature small pom-poms that may detach if subjected to excessive stress or force (they can also come off if pulled too hard). If the cord slips out of the slide buckle, thread it back through the buckle's opening. Raise the flap on the pom-pom using a knife or blade. Thread the cord back into the pom-pom between the 'teeth' and close the flap.

If the “fuse” activates, it means that excessive force has been applied to the attachment cords (for example, tripping, strong wind/gusts), which can cause damage to the tarp. Losing the pom-pom is not a defect; it is a feature and is not under warranty. To maintain warranty, all six attachment cords that come with the tarp must be used for securing it (to distribute the forces acting on it). Note, do not tie knots on the cord coming from the slide buckle as it prevents proper operation of the buckle.

Ultralight tarps are significantly lighter and pack down smaller. The lifespan of ultralight tarps can be reduced with rough or careless handling, so treat the tarp with care.
Ultralight materials do not use heavy reinforcements, which is typical for standard tarps made to withstand more. For instance, superlight tarps do not hold up well when attached to a diamond over a hammock. Furthermore, ultralight products cannot withstand strong winds and quick jerks caused by gusts; they may tear unexpectedly. Always use the provided six slide buckle attachment cords according to these instructions. If you resort to other straps, it is recommended to use elastic bands at the attachment points to help mitigate wind effects.

On the Hammock

A 3 x 4 m tarp over a hammock allows for door formations at the hammock ends. A 3 x 4 meter tarp is also adequate for longer hammocks, providing coverage for hammocks over 3 m long.
