DD Hammocks Nest Hammock, Camo Pattern. This hammock is very similar to the DD Frontline Hammock, with the key difference being the camo-patterned fabric that replaces the mosquito netting. The fabric provides protection from wind, insects, and prying eyes. At the head end, there is a mesh window for peeking outside when necessary. Each side features full-length, two-way zippers, and the interior of the hammock includes two loops for hanging gear.
It has a double-layered bottom where a sleeping mat can be inserted if required. If using an inflatable sleeping mat, ensure it's left slightly loose to better conform to the hammock's shape.
Each end of the hammock comes with 5 meters of attachment cord, already threaded through the channels at the ends of the hammock. Inside, there are four fixed pockets for storing smaller items.
Should you wish to lie in the hammock without the protective fabric above, the fabric can be lifted over the ridgeline with the stick spreaders. Alternatively, the entire hammock can be turned upside down so that the protective fabric is underneath the hammock on the ground.
The hammock is not waterproof. The protective fabric overhead offers significantly better wind protection than standard mosquito nets.
The sides of the hammock feature loops for securing a ground sheet or other gear bags.
For rain protection, consider pairing this product with a DD tarp. Choose size and color according to your preference and needs.
