Usage

Operating the Fenix PD36R PRO is straightforward, even with gloves on. The buttons are fully accessible from any angle. To turn on the light, press the round button fully. For momentary use without noise, lightly press the button without pushing it down completely.

Cycle through different brightness modes by pressing the oval switch once. Modes switch in this order: Turbo > Eco > Low > High.

Strobe mode is activated by pressing the oval button once while the light is off. Alternatively, if the light is already on, press and hold the button for 0.2 seconds to activate strobe. Pressing again turns off the strobe.

5. Why does the PD36R PRO switch to a lower mode after some use, and why can't a higher mode be selected? There are two reasons:

1. Intelligent overheat protection. The light accumulates a lot of heat when used at Turbo levels for extended periods. When it reaches 60°C or above, the light automatically drops output to cool down. Once the temperature falls below 60°C, the user can select Turbo mode again.

2. Low voltage warning. When voltage dips below a preset level, the flashlight is programmed to switch to a lower brightness until Eco mode is reached. In Eco mode, the light will flash three times every five minutes as a reminder to recharge or replace the battery on time.

6. What type of battery can be used with the PD36R PRO?
It is recommended to use 1 x Fenix ARB-L21-5000 V2.0 Li-ion battery. It is also compatible with Fenix ARB-L21-5000U and Fenix ARB-L21-4000P batteries.
