Savotta Askare Hip Pack, M05 Camouflage Color. This large, extremely versatile hip pack is suitable for numerous diverse tasks and special operations. It boasts excellent interior organization and numerous external attachment points. The Askare can easily be quickly attached to a backpack, allowing it to be used as part of a modular, scalable carrying system. The design originated from the needs of snipers for convenient carrying of shooter/spotter gear. During development, the potential as a highly versatile bag became clear, suitable for both military use and various other applications. With a large seven-liter capacity and various external attachment opportunities, this is an incredibly versatile general-purpose bag. Inside, there are multiple ways to organize gear: elastic loops of various sizes, flat compartments, attachment loops, and hook-and-loop surfaces for attaching a variety of hook-and-loop organizational tools. The back wall has two rows of 50 mm wide elastic webbing. The lower row is sewn into two large loops, approximately 17 cm wide (designed for .50 cal Barrett magazines). The upper row is sewn into three smaller loops, approximately 12 cm wide (designed for HK417 magazines). Both ends of the bag contain short elastic loops for smaller items.
The front wall includes two flat compartments and two attachment loops above them. The inner wall's 35 x 10 cm loop area can accommodate many types of hook-and-loop attachment tools.
In the large, open compartment at the back of the bag, there is a solid foam padding. The compartment serves to conceal a belt strap, or a larger loop can be used for carrying the bag on a standard belt or a backpack/waist pack.
Versatile Carrying Options
Due to its size and shape, the Askare is best carried on the back, and it's easy to swing around to the front for access. The belt strap length is also sufficient for carrying it across the body. The strap is secured to wings that stabilize the carry.
