Source Kangaroo Hydration Reservoir 1 L, Black. This compact one-liter hydration reservoir features a large widepack opening that allows for complete top access. The mouthpiece is angled at 90 degrees, making the hose shorter and less obtrusive. The drinking tube is coated with an incredibly durable protection layer that insulates the water from outside temperature changes while also preventing UV rays.

The mouthpiece is of the Storm model, which opens by pulling, and can be replaced with the squeezable Helix model. It is easy to disassemble, clean, and maintain. The Storm mouthpiece is designed for pulling/pushing operation, and it opens with a simple bite.
Compared to a bite-operated valve, it offers greater flow, better performance in freezing conditions, and leak-proof functionality during squeezes.

The inner surface of the reservoir is made from a specialized smooth membrane, with a smoothness comparable to glass. Smoothness is essential as bacteria, perceived as slime, require a rough surface to adhere. With a smooth surface, adhesion cannot occur, making the reservoir self-cleaning as switching to clean water removes all impurities.
Additionally, the surface is treated with Grunge-Guard, which acts as a scent that bacteria avoid at a molecular level. Due to these properties, Source does not include cleaning tablets or specialized maintenance tools in its offerings. All necessary maintenance can be performed without special tools, except for the hose, which requires a hose brush.

User-friendly SQC quick connector (Source Quick Connect) facilitates connection between the hose and the reservoir.
