Source WXP Storm Valve Hydration Bladder, 3 Liters, Black. The Source WXP Storm Valve hydration bladder has a capacity of 3 liters. It features a large cap and a widepack opening that allows the bladder to fully open from the top. The mouthpiece is angled at 90 degrees, making the hose shorter and less obstructive. The drinking tube is coated with a highly abrasion-resistant shield, insulating the water from external temperatures and blocking UV radiation.

The mouthpiece is a Storm model that opens by pulling and can be swapped for a squeezable Helix model, which is slightly easier to use. The mouthpiece is easy to detach, clean, and maintain. The Storm mouthpiece operates by pulling/pushing and is opened using the mouth.
Advantages over a bite valve include higher flow, better functionality in cold weather, and leak resistance under compression.

The inner surface of the reservoir is made from a specially smooth membrane, with smoothness comparable to glass. This smoothness is crucial as bacteria, often felt as slime, require a rough surface to adhere. When the surface is smooth, no adhesion occurs, making the reservoir self-cleaning as replacing the clean water eliminates all impurities.
Additionally, it features a Grunge-Guard treatment that acts like an odor repellent to bacteria, but at a molecular level. Due to these properties, Source does not include cleaning tablets or other special maintenance tools in their offerings. All necessary maintenance can be carried out without special tools, except for the hose, which requires a hose brush.
