Source WXP Storm Valve Hydration Bladder, 3 Liters, Coyote. The Source WXP Storm Valve hydration bladder has a capacity of 3 liters. It features a large cap and widepack opening that allows the bladder to fully open at the top. The mouthpiece is angled 90 degrees for a shorter hose that stays out of the way. The drinking tube is covered with an extremely abrasion-resistant layer that insulates the water from external heat and blocks UV radiation.

The mouthpiece is of the Storm type, meaning it opens by pulling, and it can be swapped with the compressible Helix model for easier use. The mouthpiece is easy to detach, clean, and maintain. The Storm mouthpiece is operated by pulling/pushing and can be opened using the mouth.
Advantages over bite valve openings include higher flow rate, better functionality in freezing conditions, and leakage prevention when compressed.

The interior surface of the reservoir is made of a specially smooth membrane, comparable to glass in terms of smoothness. This smoothness is crucial as biofilm, which appears slimy, needs a rough surface to adhere to. With a smooth surface, adhesion cannot occur, making the reservoir self-cleaning as changing the water removes all impurities.
The surface also features a Grunge-Guard treatment that acts like a barrier against odors that bacteria avoid, but at a molecular level. Due to these properties, Source does not include cleaning tablets or other specialized maintenance tools in its range. All necessary maintenance can be performed without special tools, except for the hose, which requires a hose brush.

The easy-to-use SQC quick connect (Source Quick Connect) is located between the hose and reservoir.
