Fire Steel, Mil-Tec. An extremely practical magnesium fire starter that creates sparks even in damp conditions for starting fires.

Usage: Take a suitable piece of dry material, such as bark, and scrape the surface with a knife to obtain easily ignitable material. Gently scrape the side of the fire steel with the accompanying metal or the hammer of your knife onto the bark. Quickly strike the fire steel against the bark to ignite it.
