Tasmanian Tiger Operator Pack ZP IRR Panel, Stone Grey Olive This panel connects to battle vests via zippers and includes an adapter.
The Operator Pack ZP is a versatile panel primarily designed for plate carriers. It directly attaches to Tasmanian Tiger's own QR LC ZP vest using integrated zippers. However, if you don't have that particular vest, the package includes Molle-compatible zipper adapters, allowing you to attach the pack to any vest or surface with sufficient webbing.
The main pocket has a capacity of 5 liters, primarily designed for a hydration bladder. It comfortably fits hydration systems like the Source WLPS or ILPS. The bladder is secured with a hanging loop, and an elastic strap at the bottom minimizes movement inside the pocket. For added security, a shock cord can be woven over the bladder and attached to the loops on the sides of the pocket. The hydration hose can be routed through an opening on either the left or right upper edge, ensuring it does not press against the wearer's neck or obstruct evacuation handles.
The back side of the main pocket is coated with Velcro featuring laser-cut webbing for inserts. If no bladder is carried inside, this area can be customized with inserts and Molle pouches. Two small zippered pockets are located on the front of the main pocket.
The upper external pocket has a capacity of 2 liters and is completely lined with Velcro for inserts. The back side of this pocket also features laser-cut webbing. The front includes a large Velcro area for patches, and the pocket's flap can be folded out of the way and secured with a Velcro strap; it can also be tucked inside, leaving the pocket open. The pack includes inserts that can transform the upper pocket into a smoke grenade holder, converting the pack into a banger panel. Additionally, it comes with magazine inserts if you want to stash spare mags for a team member.
The lower external pocket has a capacity of 3 liters and serves as a general-purpose pocket without any extraordinary features. Inside, it has a substantial Velcro panel for inserts and a corresponding external area for patches.
Small loops on the sides of the pockets allow for shock cord compression attachments. The package includes 10 varying lengths of shock cord and 10 cord locks for various customization options.
Furthermore, the pack includes inserts for three AR15 magazines, four submachine gun magazines, and four 40mm/laser grenades, as well as reinforced walls if the upper pocket is transformed into a smoke grenade pouch.
The panel connects with zippers and comes packaged with a Molle adapter. To prevent excess movement, the pocket is secured in place with two plastic sticks that slide into the webbing and loops at the lower webbing. If the vest has Velcro on the upper back for patches, an attachment point for the hook Velcro is also included.
Protip! Although the zippers are designed specifically for Tasmanian Tiger products, we managed to attach this to the Direct Action Spitfire MK.II Plate Carrier. The zippers on the Spitfire were slightly shorter, but it did not hinder the connection.
The material is well-known and trusted 500D Cordura, offering excellent durability while remaining pleasantly lightweight.
Tasmanian Tiger’s IRR, or Infrared Reduction, products comply with the standards of the German Army for protection against night-vision devices. Unlike many manufacturers, Tasmanian Tiger didn’t take the easy path by only treating the fabric; all components, including elastic bands, Velcro, buckles, etc., are also treated.
The color of the IRR products is Stone Grey Olive, very close to the popular Ranger Green.
Tasmanian Tiger is a sister company of the German Tatonka, known for its outdoor gear, while Tasmanian Tiger focuses on mid-range tactical gear suitable for recreational and governmental use.
With some caution, these packs are reputable enough for genuine combat use, and they've been spotted in real operations on occasion.
Tasmanian Tiger’s products are manufactured in Vietnam.
