Tasmanian Tiger SGL Mag Pouch MCL LP

Tasmanian Tiger SGL Mag Pouch MCL LP derives its name from Single Mag Pouch Multi-Calibre Low Profile. As the name suggests, this pouch accommodates a single piece of magazines for various calibres. The manufacturer claims compatibility with AR-15, SG550, and AUG magazines, but in our experience, FAL magazines also fit if needed.

The design closely resembles the basic model's quick-draw pouch with a few differences; the classic shock cord tightening has been replaced with elastic webbing, the maximum stretch can be limited with adjustable Velcro sleeves, which can also be entirely removed if necessary. There is one central MOLLE panel on the pouch for conveniently attaching a similar pistol magazine pouch. Inside the pouch are small friction surfaces to reduce damaging drops of magazines. The structure is further reinforced with plastic plates beneath the fabric. The pouch attaches securely to two MOLLE systems.

The material is 700D Cordura, widely recognized from other Tasmanian Tiger products, offering better durability than the more familiar 500D Cordura while being lighter than the heavier 1000D.

Tasmanian Tiger is a sister company of the German Tatonka. While Tatonka is well-known for outdoor gear manufacturing, Tasmanian specializes in quality mid-range tactical equipment for both recreational and professional use.
With a slight caveat, these can genuinely be deemed suitable for actual combat scenarios and have indeed been seen in real-life applications in small measures.
