Tasmanian Tiger SGL Magazine Pouch MCL LP IRR

Tasmanian Tiger SGL Mag Pouch MCL LP stands for Single Mag Pouch Multi-Caliber Low Profile. As its name suggests, the pouch holds a single piece of magazines from different calibers. The manufacturer guarantees compatibility with AR-15, SG550, and AUG magazines, but from our own experience, it also accommodates FAL magazines when necessary.

The design closely resembles the basic model of Tasmanian Tiger, with one change: the classic shock cord tightening has been replaced with an elastic band whose maximum stretch can be limited with Velcro strips, which can be completely removed if needed without any issues. On top of the pouch is a central MOLLE webbing, allowing for easy attachment of similarly styled pistol mag pouches. The inside of the pouch features small friction surfaces to reduce the risk of magazine drops. The construction is reinforced with plastic panels beneath the fabric.

The material is the familiar and trusted 500D Cordura, providing excellent durability while remaining lightweight.

Tasmanian Tiger's IRR, for products protected against night vision devices, meets the German Army standards for IRR protection. Unlike many manufacturers, Tasmanian did not take the lowest approach and only treat the fabric; instead, all components, including elastic bands, Velcro, buckles, etc., have also been treated.

The color of the IRR products is Stone Grey Olive, very close to the popular Ranger Green color.

Tasmanian Tiger is a subsidiary of the German company Tatonka. Tatonka is well-known for its outdoor gear, while Tasmanian focuses on high-quality mid-range tactical gear for recreational and official use.
With some reservations, these can be confidently used for genuine combat scenarios, and they have indeed been seen in real operations in small quantities.
