Tasmanian Tiger Tac Pouch 5 IRR The IRR protected general pouch from Tasmanian Tiger comes equipped with a rain cover.

The Tac Pouch 5 is a relatively standard general pouch, 3 MOLLE wide. The pouch opens with a zipper. Inside, you will find a mesh pocket on the lid side and elastic loops on the other side for securing your gear, so nothing will bounce around while you’re on the move!

At the front of the pouch, you’ll find both MOLLE and Velcro for patches and additional pouches. There is also a small, flat, zippered pocket located on the outside front.

On the back of the pouch, there is a flat zippered pocket that covers the entire area of the pouch, which includes the hidden rain cover; it’s also a good place to stash your smartphone.

The material is 700D Cordura, which is well-known from other Tasmanian Tiger products, offering better durability than the commonly used 500D Cordura, while being lighter than the sturdier 1000D.

Tasmanian Tiger’s IRR products have IRR protection that meets the German Army standards for devices protecting against infrared detection. Unlike many manufacturers, Tasmanian Tiger did not cut corners by only treating the fabric; everything—including elastic bands, Velcros, buckles, etc.—has been treated as well.

The color of the IRR products is Stone Grey Olive, which is very close to the popular Ranger Green shade.

Tasmanian Tiger is a subsidiary of the German Tatonka. Tatonka is a familiar name in hiking gear manufacturing, while Tasmanian Tiger specializes in high-quality mid-range tactical gear for recreational and official use.
With some reservations, you can use these products for real combat, and they have indeed been seen in actual operations in small numbers.
