UphillSport Posio Hiking Socks, Wine.  Breathable and durable merino wool socks with an ankle-length shaft are perfect for year-round use. The ankle-length design extends comfortably above the cuff of hiking boots, preventing slippage inside the footwear. These lightweight socks provide exceptional warmth even when worn alone in cooler outdoor conditions. With an inconspicuous toe seam, you won't have to worry about blisters or painful pressure points.

Thanks to the 3-layer Duratech construction, these socks are genuinely functional hiking socks. The innermost layer against your skin is made of polypropylene, effectively wicking moisture away from the body. The middle layer features merino wool, providing warmth and breathability. The outer layer is made of polyamide, protecting the wool from the most demanding wear and tear and ensuring longevity. A lightweight knit around the arches enhances the fit of the socks.

The Posio socks are best enjoyed in nature during hikes and treks that demand much from your footwear. Even with their thin structure, they're also excellent for running, work, or leisure.

Wool is a warm and breathable material. Sheep wool boasts excellent properties, as it breathes and insulates heat effectively. Naturally renewable and biodegradable, this fiber absorbs moisture well, resists wrinkles, and quickly regains its shape. For wool products, airing them out often suffices instead of frequent washing. Wool has inherent fire-resistant qualities and is highly durable against bacteria and mold.

This product is manufactured at the Sockmasters' own factory in Ylöjärvi with 100% Finnish labor.

Care Instructions:

we recommend pre-washing merino wool socks before use
airing out is often sufficient for merino socks
gentle wash at a maximum of 40 degrees Celsius
use the lightest spin setting possible
using a laundry bag helps preserve the product
do not use detergents with fabric softeners or bleach
avoid tumble drying or drying programs
keep in mind that merino wool socks may shrink in the wash; shape/stretch the socks firmly while damp to restore their original size
use a lint remover - merino wool socks can pill easily with friction
