UphillSport Posio Hiking Socks, Wine.  Breathable and durable merino wool socks with an ankle-length cuff perfect for year-round use. The ankle-high cuff extends above the boot top, preventing slippage inside the boot. Lightweight yet warm, these socks excel in cooler conditions when worn alone outside. The discreet toe seam ensures no blisters or painful pressure points develop on the foot.

Thanks to the 3-layer Duratech construction, these socks are genuinely functional hiking socks. The inner layer against the skin is polypropylene, effectively wicking moisture away from the skin. The middle layer features merino wool, adding warmth and breathability. The outer layer is made of polyamide, protecting the wool from the heaviest wear and enhancing the socks' durability. A lightweight drawstring knitted around the foot improves fit.

The Posio socks are at their best when trekking and hiking in nature, situations that demand a lot from your socks. However, their thin construction also makes them suitable for jogging, work, or leisure activities.

Wool is a warm and breathable material. Sheep wool is exceptional due to its properties, effectively insulating and breathing. A renewable and biodegradable natural fiber, it absorbs moisture well, resists wrinkling, and quickly recovers. For wool products, airing is often sufficient instead of washing. Wool is naturally fire-resistant and withstands bacteria and mold well.

This product is also made at the Sock Masters' own factory in Ylöjärvi with 100% Finnish labor.

Care Instructions:

We recommend pre-washing merino wool socks before first use
Often, air drying is sufficient for merino socks
Wash gently at a maximum of 40 degrees Celsius
Use the lightest spin cycle possible
Using a laundry bag helps preserve the product from wear
Avoid detergents containing fabric softeners or bleach
Do not use a tumble dryer or drying programs
Keep in mind that merino wool socks may shrink when washed; reshape/stretch the socks firmly while damp to restore original size
Use a lint remover - merino wool socks can pill easily due to abrasion.
