Carinthia Defence 6 Sleeping Bag. The Defence 6 is the winter sleeping bag from the Carinthia family of sleeping bags. This versatile four-season bag is designed to keep you warm in arctic winter conditions. Keep in mind, however, that everyone's cold tolerance varies. The Defence 6 is made from military-grade materials, ensuring durability and reliability.
This sleeping bag features a two-way zipper in the center, allowing you to open it from the bottom for increased ventilation. A Velcro flap secures the top of the zipper to prevent it from opening while you sleep. Unlike many models, the Defence 6 does not include a mosquito netting; instead, you can cinch the face opening down to minimize exposure, leaving only your nose, mouth, and eyes visible. Additionally, it features a padded collar that blocks cold air from entering the bag from the face opening, enhancing warmth retention.
The mummy shape of the Defence 6 conforming closely to your body helps retain heat by reducing dead air space. The foot section of the bag is designed to accommodate sleeping with footwear. While the materials used in Defence 6 are not completely PFC-free (Perfluorinated Compounds), they hold an Öko-Tex certification. The Öko-Tex Standard 100 is an internationally recognized testing and certification system for textiles that restricts the use of harmful chemicals.

Outer Fabric: 100% Shellproof Ripstop Nylon that is extremely durable, windproof, and waterproof with a water column rating of 1000 mm.
Inner Lining: 100% Shelltrans Ripstop Nylon, lightweight, strong, and comfortable against the skin.
Temperature Rating: Comfort -18°C, Extreme -40°C. The comfort rating indicates the temperature at which you can sleep comfortably. Naturally, comfort levels vary from person to person.

Care Instructions: Avoid frequent washing of sleeping bags as it can diminish their thermal properties. If washing is necessary, use a gentle cycle at 40°C (recommended full-load program). Do not tumble dry or iron. Air dry flat. Store the sleeping bag loosely in a wardrobe or on a hanger.
