Carinthia Tropen Sleeping Bag. The Carinthian Tropen is a lightweight sleeping bag that compresses into a small size. The outer surface of the Tropen is made from Shelltrans fabric, notable for its breathability, which is crucial during hot and humid tropical nights. It features a two-way zipper, allowing you to open the lower part during sweltering summer nights to let cooler air into the bag. Additionally, the Tropen includes an integrated mosquito net for protection against bugs on your face and upper body. This can be tucked away in a snap pocket inside the hood when not needed. The net is easily secured around the hood using its small zipper. The Tropen is mummy-shaped, conforming to the human body. You can also combine the Tropen with the Defence 4 to create a sleeping bag system, making it usable year-round. Use the Tropen in summer, Defence 4 in spring and fall, and layer both for extreme winter conditions. Quite handy, right?

Washing and Storage Instructions: Sleeping bags should not be washed often as this can diminish their thermal value. If you must wash, use a delicate cycle on 40 degrees (gentle wash with low load). No tumble drying or ironing. Air dry. Store the sleeping bag open, for example, in a closet on a hanger.
