Usage Instructions
The compression bandage is designed to control life-threatening limb bleeding. Call 112 or ask another person to call for assistance.
1. Apply the bandage: Insert the injured limb through the loop of the bandage. Position the bandage directly against the skin 5–7 cm above the bleeding site toward the body. Do not place the bandage over the wound or joint.
2. Tighten the strap: Pull the strap as tight as possible around the limb and attach the Velcro. If three fingers fit between the strap and limb, tighten the strap further. This serves as a pre-tightening step before twisting the tension rod.
3. Twist the tension rod: Twist the rod until the bleeding stops completely.
4. Lock and check: Secure the tension rod in the designated holder. Check that the bleeding has stopped and that no pulse is felt below the bandage, away from the body. If bleeding continues or a pulse is felt, tighten the bandage further. If this is insufficient, apply a second compression bandage next to the first, towards the body. Check the situation again.
5. Secure and mark time: Secure the rod and strap end according to the manufacturer's illustrated instructions and close the securing Velcro. Record the application time on the TIME marking area using the provided marker.
Important!
Do not loosen or remove the applied compression bandage yourself. A healthcare professional must determine the removal.
Monitor the bleeding until help arrives and inform the emergency services of the application time of the bandage.
Follow the instructions of healthcare professionals and the Red Cross, as well as the user manual provided with this product.
